Results & Impact

Throughout my internship, I was entrusted with opportunities that extended beyond traditional public relations support. From strengthening media outreach and leading social media initiatives to proposing new creative ideas, I contributed to projects that helped amplify Reach Records' digital presence while supporting the promotion of its artist roster. My work focused on creating meaningful connections between artists, media outlets, and audiences through strategic communication and authentic storytelling.

Highlights of my contribution include:
  • Supported public relations and marketing initiatives for all 10 artists on the Reach Records roster.

  • Created and managed 20+ social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Threads, Snapchat, YouTube, and other digital platforms.

  • Researched and pitched 15+ podcasts, radio stations, and media outlets, generating multiple positive responses and expanding promotional opportunities for artists.

  • Conceptualized and launched a dedicated YouTube lyric video channel, which has generated 13,000+ views.

  • Led the "Women of Reach" social media series, offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the women driving the label's success and increasing community engagement.

  • Identified an opportunity to expand the label's reach within the Latin music community by recommending artist Kenny Rivers, resulting in a collaborative studio session with Reach Records.

  • Developed media contact databases and podcast outreach lists that continued to support the PR team's efforts after my internship concluded.

  • Earned recognition from leadership for my work ethic, creative thinking, communication skills, and willingness to take initiative on new projects.

Reflection

My time at Reach Records reinforced that great public relations is built on trust, creativity, and relationships. Working alongside artists, executives, and creative teams taught me how important it is to understand a brand's identity before communicating it to the world. It also showed me that great ideas can come from anyone when they're willing to speak up, collaborate, and approach challenges with curiosity.
